Not the most communicative of the peripherals. Still very reliant on its mechnical components and thus unpredictable in terms of reliability. There are so many version of printers in the market that unless you have very specific technical requirements, it really is a question of the budget. Generally speaking (but not always) the more you pay the better and more reliable the printer.
So what are the differences? Laser printers, there are mono and colour. Mono are dropping fast in price to compare with deskjets. Colour lasers are too. Deskjets or inkjets use ink catridges which run out quickly for high use of colour. They also tend to be slower in printing. Laserjets are faster however the toner cartridges are more expensive than inkjet ones, especially for colour laser. |
